The Perfect Pub for Imperfect People
Tucked into the heart of Fort Worth’s Near Southside, Southside Cellar was built from a simple idea: craft beer deserves the same care, curiosity, and hospitality as any great restaurant or neighborhood pub. Since opening in 2020, Southside Cellar has become one of the defining craft beer destinations in North Texas — a place where rare bottles, world-class draft beer, thoughtful wine, and genuine community all meet under one roof.
What started as a hybrid craft beer bar and bottle shop quickly earned a reputation for having one of the most curated beer selections in Fort Worth. Built by people deeply rooted in the local beer community, the Cellar was created to be the kind of place Fort Worth beer lovers had been searching for: relaxed but intentional, approachable without sacrificing quality, and always driven by discovery. Over the years, the bar has become known for constantly rotating taps featuring local favorites, sought-after national breweries, wild ales, lagers, farmhouse beers, hop-forward releases, barrel-aged stouts, and hard-to-find cellar selections that rarely make it onto shelves elsewhere in DFW.
But Southside Cellar was never meant to feel exclusive or precious. The goal has always been to create a true neighborhood gathering place — somewhere equally comfortable for longtime beer nerds, first-time craft drinkers, industry workers getting off shift, and friends simply looking for a good pint and a place to stay awhile. Antique furniture, warm lighting, tucked-away corners, and an atmosphere that feels more like a living room than a bar give the Cellar its distinct identity within Fort Worth’s growing South Main district.
As the Near Southside evolved into one of the city’s most vibrant cultural corridors, surrounded by places like Tinie's, Tarantula Tiki Lounge, Soma Winery, and Nickel City, Southside Cellar carved out its own lane: quieter, more intimate, and deeply focused on the craft itself. The bar became known not only for what was on tap, but for the culture surrounding it — clean draft lines, knowledgeable staff, thoughtful recommendations, and a constant pursuit of beers that tell a story.
Today, Southside Cellar continues to evolve while holding onto the same core philosophy it opened with. Alongside its celebrated beer program, the Cellar has expanded into a more complete neighborhood pub experience with a chef-driven pizza kitchen focused on hand-crafted food designed to pair naturally with great beer. The result is a space where hospitality leads everything: a craft beer destination that values substance over hype, conversation over chaos, and community over trends.
At its core, Southside Cellar exists for people who love discovering something memorable — whether that’s a perfectly poured lager, a rare bottle shared among friends, a slice of pizza with the right beer beside it, or simply a place in Fort Worth that still feels human.
